Manu Verma’s detailed review of Who Moved My Cheese by Dr. Spencer Johnson
Name of book: Who moved my cheese?
Author: Dr. Spencer Johnson
Category: Fiction/management/business.
About the book
The book is basically a story of two mice and two small people. Through their story, the concept of change management (How you adapt to change?) has been taught by the author in a very efficient way. Here “cheese” is a metaphor used for what all we want in life.
The story is about these characters that used to look for their favorite cheese in the maze every day. ”maze” here represents where we spend time looking for what we want.
Characters:
Sniff and Scurry: These two are mice.
Hem and Haw: They are small people, same as mice but they looked and behaved like people today.
My Review
The story is simple yet interesting. It takes you to observe the things of course from the third person’s point of view, but you will be able to relate with these characters around you. The book is very small (32 pages). The book has many pictures/images that make it more interesting.
